SDPB Television airs on Channel 2, Vermillion; Channel 8, Martin; Channel 9,
Rapid City; Channel 10, Pierre; Channel 11, Lowry; Channel 13, Eagle Butte;
Channel 16, Aberdeen; and Channel 23, Sioux Falls. SDPB broadcasts more than
150 hours of local programming each year and over 65 hours of education
children's programming every week.

SDPB Online can be accessed at SDPB.org. Besides archiving all SDPB
Television and Radio programs, SDPB.org also has full coverage of the South
Dakota State Legislature and all South Dakota High School Activities
Association sanctioned tournaments. It also houses many of SDPB Education &
Outreach's educational resources. Millions of users log on to SDPB.org every
year.
SDPB Education & Outreach helps to enhance and expand the learning
experiences available every day on Television, Radio and Internet. The staff
provides resources for teachers, literacy workshops for parents and
child-care providers through the Ready to Learn program, continuing
education courses for college students and adults, and local educational
television programs, as well as conducting other outreach projects for all
of the citizens of South Dakota.
Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting is a 501 (c)(3) organization
dedicated to supporting SDPB's mission of lifelong learning by using direct
mail, fundraising drives, telemarketing, underwriting and grants to pay for
programming and programming services for the network. |
