SDPB News Director Cara Hetland visits with Ranjit Koodali of the University of South Dakota chemistry department. Koodali's areas of research include mesoporous nanostructured materials, photochemical storage and conversion of solar energy along with photoelectrochemistry, environmental chemistry and development of sensors. He has four patents in the area of photocatalysis and has published over fifty scholarly articles.
Later in the program, Dr. Bill Harris talks about Omega 3 levels and the link between heart health and depression. He also discusses a new study with the military looking at Omega 3 levels in soldiers and mental health.
