"Advocates say the quality of education for Native American students is improving in South Dakota. Yet they say more needs to be done to create an environment where kids can succeed and overcome high dropout rates. The 2008 Indian Education Summit this past week in Rapid City brought together experts and educators to celebrate successes and discuss where more work is needed.
