Five years ago, Italian pianist Emanuele Arciuli gave a concert at U-S-D. At the same time, Native American artist Gerald Conoyer was displaying his work at the school. The chance meeting led to a friendship between the two and for Arciuli sparked a love of Native American culture. Last week Arciuli cam back to USD and presented a piano concert of works by Native American composers. SDPB’s Jenifer Jones has more in today’s Dakota Digest.
