"It might be hard to find other communities with a more drastic need for housing then South Dakota's Native American reservations. The Census routinely finds some of the poorest counties in the nation are right here in South Dakota's Indian Country. Rosebud tribal members are fortunate to have a Habitat for Humanity. Just two of the nine tribes have the home building non-profit. But it's getting tougher for these Habitat for Humanity groups to survive. SDPB's Johanna Sailor tagged along with a group of Sioux Falls' college students on a recent trip to Rosebud. Sailor got an insider's view as to what the housing needs are on Rosebud from families and advocates for this report.
