After more than a century, leggings and a lock of hair from Sitting Bull have been returned to his family by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. A traditional Lakota ceremony was held on December 15th – the anniversary of Sitting Bull's death - to determine what should happen to these repatriated artifacts. SDPB's Jim Kent produced this story after visiting with Ernie LaPointe, Sitting Bull's great-grandson, for today’s Dakota Digest.
