Welcome!

With the partnership of businesses, civic leaders and citizens, the Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting welcomes your support of a new SDPB Radio station that will serve Watertown, Milbank and the surrounding area. Establishing a transmitter station here will increase geographic coverage, and provide a signal to nearly 85,000 listeners. SDPB will lease tower and building space from the “Stockholm Group,” equity share is held by local businessman Bob Faehn. The site is approximately 12 miles
northeast of Watertown, near Waverly, SD. The costs for this project include:

Interconnect equipment: $25,000
Support equipment: $16,280
Transmitter/Antenna: $125,000
Building/Tower Lease $8,430
Total cost for construction: $174,620

Our goal is to raise a total of $30,000 from businesses and individuals in the Watertown, Milbank and surrounding area by September 1, 2012. The remainder of the project cost will come from grants and the SDPB annual operating budget.
SDPB is asking you to help offset some of the cost through a gift. With your support this station can be on the air by November 2012 - or sooner!
