DOT installs temporary signal for traffic at I-90 intersection in Brandon

South Dakota Department of Transportation

Starting Tuesday, July 16th, a temporary signal will be installed at the intersection of Highway 11 and I-90 in Brandon.

DOT crews are reconstructing this exit and replacing three existing structures as the interchange converts to a Diverging Diamond Interchange.

This temporary signal reduces traffic to one lane until Friday, July 19.

Westbound I-90 lanes are slated to be reconstructed for the interchange this year, and eastbound lanes are expected to be reconstructed next year.

Officials said that the entire project should be completed by mid-2026.
