The Aeronautics Commission is finalizing $10,000,000 in awards to eight South Dakota airports.

The funds come from Senate Bill 144. That’s a bill lawmakers passed last session establishing the South Dakota Airport Terminal Program Fund.

The program gave out awards to:

Aberdeen for $1.2 million
Hot Springs for $27,000
Rapid City for over $3 million
Sioux Falls for over $2.5 million
Spearfish for over $1.3 million
Sturgis for over $200,000
Tea for over $700,000
Watertown for $900,000

Awards fund construction reimbursements for projects.
