South Dakota’s Congressional representation is joining Gov. Kristi Noem in asking for a presidential disaster declaration.

Noem made the official request last week, noting 11 river gauges hit record-high levels during late-June storms, resulting in widespread flooding across southeast South Dakota.

Sen. John Thune, Sen. Mike Rounds and Rep. Dusty Johnson asked President Biden to “expeditiously review” the governor’s request.
