Taffy Howard is running for election in the state Senate.
Howard is running as a Republican for District 34, which includes parts of Rapid City.
Howard serviced as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
She ran for U.S. House in 2022 but lost in the Republican Primary to Rep. Dusty Johnson. Prior to that, she served several terms in the South Dakota House of Representatives.
