The South Dakota National Guard, Ellsworth Air Force Base and other local agencies are doing a search and rescue training in the Black Hills.

The training is Thursday near the Sturgis area.

The training’s goal is to refine interagency procedures for responses to real-world scenarios.

Expect to see an increase in Blackhawk helicopters in the area. Officials say to stay clear of the area and use of Unmanned Aerial Systems like drones in the area is prohibited.
