Authorities say two people are hurt after a home explosion in Gary, South Dakota.

The Deuel County Sheriff’s Office says two people were in the home Monday morning when it exploded.

Both were airlifted to Sioux Falls for treatment. The sheriff’s office says both were seriously injured, and one remains in critical condition.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.

The Gary Fire Department, Deuel County Ambulance, Canby Ambulance, Deuel County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, South Dakota DCI, South Dakota Fire Marshall’s Office and ATF all responded to the scene.
