A USDA grant award is connecting the Standing Rock Indian Reservation with high-speed internet access.
Over $22 million are being allocated to both Corson County, South Dakota, and Sioux County, North Dakota.
The USDA said the award is helping provide internet access to over 400 people, 15 businesses and 100 farmers across the two states.
That grant is a part of the ReConnect Program – a Biden administration initiative to provide high-speed internet to the most rural, remote and unserved communities in the nation by 2030.
This is the fifth round of grant awards.
