Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead in a camper in Rapid City.
Police say they found the bodies Monday in a camper parked at a storage lot on the north side of the city.
Officers noticed the strong smell of exhaust fumes in the camper along with a propane heater and gas generator inside.
Neither body showed signs of trauma or foul play.
Investigators say initial evidence points to carbon monoxide poisoning, but they’re awaiting the results of autopsies to confirm the cause of both deaths.
