State officials are planning a new round of sobriety checkpoints across South Dakota for March.
Checkpoints are being conducted across 15 counties, including Brookings, Clay, Codington, Custer, Edmunds, Fall River, Jackson, Jerauld, Lawrence, Lyman, Meade, Minnehaha, Pennington, Roberts and Spink.
The Highway Patrol works with local law enforcement to conduct these checkpoints. Officials say they’re designed to reduce drunk driving.
