SDPB Early Learning Resources Available to All South Dakota Caretakers, Parents, Educators

Since the start of the pandemic, SDPB has provided a daily newsletter to parents and early learners with activities, videos, games and other educational opportunities revolving around the South Dakota Early Learning Guidelines. Newsletters are tailored to focus on learning needs in areas of social and emotional development, cognitive development, communications, language and literacy and health and physical development.

Kevin Nelson, SDPB’s Early Learning Initiative (ELI) consultant, has been meeting online to connect communities with SDPB’s ELI resources. Nelson recently presented to Black Hills-area childcare providers (photo), the Vermillion Rotary Club, and teamed with Black Hills Read for a state-wide screening of the early learning documentary No Small Matter.
