Smithsonian Partnership

A new partnership between the South Dakota State Historical Society at the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., was announced Friday.  The announcement followed the Society's successful partnership in the recent National Youth Summit about the Dust Bowl.  Karl Gerhke was joined by Harold Closter, Director of Smithsonian Affiliations, and Jay Smith of the South Dakota State Historical Society.
