Pringle rancher and columnist Amy Kirk writes the weekly humor column, "A Ranchwife's Slant." She recently published her first anthology, "A Ranchwife's Slant: Cowboy, Kids and Ranch Life." Her columns candidly profile the big things in life in small but humorous ways: marriage, parenting, the gender gap, and problem solving, all under the premise of living and working with cattle. She gives an entertaining perspective of what it's like being a ranch wife raising a family and livestock alongside her husband Art. In writing her column, Kirk inadvertently learned that finding humor in unpleasant circumstances can be a coping tool for dealing with the daily challenges of ranch life as well as industry-wide challenges in agriculture. Kirk joined Dakota Midday to discuss her latest publication. For more information, go to: www.amykirk.com.
