The South Dakota Shakespeare Festival is June 13-15 in Vermillion, featuring a performance of "The Taming of the Shrew" in Prentis Park. The production includes nationwide talent, including eight students from the University of South Dakota. Chaya Gordon-Bland is founding artistic director of the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival and Assistant Professor in Movement and Shakespeare in the Theatre Department at the University of South Dakota. Darlene Farabee is a Shakespeare professor in the English Department at the University of South Dakota and will play a part in the Scholars Roundtable scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday. The two joined the program to discuss the upcoming festival.
