For over two years Black Hills musician Hank Harris spent his Tuesdays at Blackbird Studios in Rapid City working on original interpretations of songs by the Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Marley, Peter Gabriel and others. He's released the results on a new CD he's titled, appropriately enough, Tuesdays.
Harris's professional career goes back to the 1970s when he was a member of the Red Willow Band, one of the most popular groups from South Dakota. He's written hundreds of songs and released 7 solo albums along with a pair of Deadwood Songbook collections.
Harris has a CD release performance Saturday, December 16 at noon in Rapid City at Harriet and Oak. He's also playing songs from Tuesdays Wednesday evening, December 20 in Sioux Falls at Bros Brasserie.
