In The Moment ... October 22. 2018 Show 445 Hour 2
Fifty years ago, a South Dakota artist named Dick Termes changed the world of art simply by painting a little more of it. He was the first artist to paint using six-point perspective. At first finding supplies was impossible. No one was manufacturing spherical canvases. He painted on a children's playground ball. He found globes at thrift stores and used them to make his Termespheres.
Today, the exhibition "50 Spheres for 50 Years" is on display at the Visual Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
