In The Moment ... April 29, 2019 Show 564 Hour 2
Niels Hansen brought plants from the far corners of the world to the plains of South Dakota. Not only was he a horticulturist, he was also and explorer who improved the lives of farm families across the upper Great Plains by expanding their choice of varieties for cold and drought hardy forage and fruit crops. Gwen McCausland is the Director of the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum in Brookings. She joins us with today's Images of the Past.
