Linda Hasselstrom has spent a lifetime watching, writing, and working. Her observations and insights about life on a ranch in western South Dakota have made her one of the premier literary voices from the Great Plains. She has published 17 books of poetry and nonfiction, including Windbreak: A Woman Rancher on the Northern Plains, Feels Like Far: A Rancher's Life on the Great Plains, and her most recent book Gathering from the Grasslands: A Plains Journal.
Hasselstrom encourages others to tell their own stories through her writing workshops and retreats hosted on her ranch near Hermosa.
