In The Moment … August 18, 2020 Show 883 Hour 1
As a child, Bruce Long Fox was told he would amount to nothing. But where some people saw a future criminal and child without intelligence or imagination, others recognized a gifted student, a bright mind, and a future of value and leadership.
Today he is responsible for more than one hundred Native American families having jobs for more than 3 decades as part of his work with Rural America Initiatives. His work has encouraged students to finish high school ... to be good students, good athletes, and good community members. He is a Lakota elder and part of the South Dakota Hall of Fame class of 2020. A virtual induction ceremony is scheduled for September 12.
Support for education reporting on SDPB is provided by the South Dakota Department of Education
