In The Moment … October 7, 2020 Show 918 Hour 1
In 2017, artist, writer, and illustrator Oliver Jeffers published the award-winning picture book "Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth." It was a book inspired by the birth of his son and it features thoughts on our planet, our humanity, and how we are never alone. Now, in 2020, in the midst of this enormous cultural reset, Jeffers offers his newest book "What We'll Build: Plans for our Together Future."
This book was inspired by his daughter, and it honors the ways in which we can change our world, now that we understand a bit more about how it works. Because sometimes the things we have put together need to be taken apart ... reimagined, rebuilt. His books, including "The Fate of Fausto," "Lost and Found," and "Once Upon an Alphabet" have sold more than 14 million copies. Oliver Jeffers is originally from Belfast. He now lives with his family in New York.
