Shortly after finding out she won a MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant, Larissa FastHorse told Here and Now she didn't get into theater for the money. She does it because she loves it.
FastHorse is Sicangu Lakota who grew up in South Dakota. She and her husband are now based in California. Larissa FastHorse joins us to talk about her work, including her satirical "Thanksgiving Play," and her plans for the Genius Grant.
