Rodeo history in South Dakota

SDPB

This interview is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

The rodeo is engrained in South Dakota history. Since the 1800s, professional cowboys, ranch hands, and common folk have tried their luck riding, roping, and wresting horses and cattle. We take a moment to learn more about rodeo, and how it became South Dakota's official state sport.
