The Sioux Falls Japanese Garden at Terrace Park will welcome a renowned horticulturalist to complete the garden’s annual pruning.
Ben Chu is a pruning expert who has helped with the garden for over 30 years, according to Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation.
“His knowledge and passion for horticulture have been instrumental in shaping the garden into the serene haven it is today,” Don Kearney, the parks and recreation director, said in a press release. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating Ben’s ongoing commitment and the exciting upgrades that lie ahead.”
Chu works for the Missouri Botanical Gardens. He will be in Sioux Falls June 21-24.
The city invited the public to watch Chu at work in the park.
