This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.
We have a conversation on conservation, land stewardship and the LANDBACK movement.
Taylor Gunhammer is a local organizer at NDN Collective, and Anpo Jensen is an environmental engineer and NDN action organizer.
They say LANDBACK isn't about removing people from the Black Hills. It's about putting the land back under Indigenous stewardship. Gunhammer says the Earth will face irreversible climate change damage if biodiversity and Indigenous practices aren't brought back to the land.
Gunhammer and Jensen talk about what that looks like for people, land and the climate.
