Submissions now open for the Governor's Student Art Competition

This week is National Arts in Education Week, and South Dakota’s students can now submit artwork for the Governor’s Student Art competition.

Governor Kristi Noem, along with the South Dakota Arts council, encourage students from kindergarten through high school to participate.

Selected student work from each age division is displayed in the state capitol next year from January through September.

The divisions are organized K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

The submission deadline is November 4th. All artwork must be submitted electronically as a jpeg image.
