Governor Noem's Former Chief of Staff, Tony Venhuizen

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will soon have a new chief-of-staff – her fourth in just over three years.

Noem’s current chief -- Tony Venhuizen will take an appointment to the South Dakota Board of Regents in April.

Venhuizen served as former-governor Dennis Daugaard’s chief of staff for more than four years.

Venhuizen served in the role for a year and one month. He replaced Joshua Sheilds, who served in the position for almost three months.

Sheilds’ predecessor held the job for 10 months.

Governor Noem’s Senior Policy Advisor Maggie Seidel has also left the governor’s staff.
