A Chicago-based company applied to build dozens of wind turbines in Deuel County.

Invenergy’s 68-turbine project would cost over $600,000,000 and be done through its subsidiary company, Deuel Harvest Wind Energy South.

Invenergy previously created a wind energy farm with over 100 turbines in South Dakota in 2021.

If approved, the company said it would generate $38,000,000 in tax revenue and nearly $80,000,000 for landowners over a 30-year period.

The company's application projects over 250 total jobs would be created.
