The 2024 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally saw a slight uptick in total vehicle county compared to 2023, but still remains down compared to average.
The Department of Transportation counted more than 470,987 entering the Black Hills area from Aug. 2 through Aug. 11.
That’s up almost 3% from 2023, which officials said saw a sharp drop off due to rainy weather. But it’s 3.6% lower than the five-year average, according to the DOT.
