Aberdeen manufacturing facility to stay open, more information to come

Banner Engineering has announced a change of course on plans to close its Aberdeen manufacturing plant.

The Aberdeen Insider reports the announcement was made Friday by Evan Burgstaler, executive VP of operations.

This is a change of course from February, when the company announced the impending closure of the plant to the over 300 local employees. This came a year after a similar facility in Huron was shuttered.

Banner produces items for industrial automation, like sensors, wireless technologies, LED lights and measurement devices.
