The founder of one of state’s largest property development companies has died.
Craig Lloyd passed away Wednesday at age 76, according to a statement from Lloyd Companies – the business he helped build.
Lloyd founded the company alongside his wife, Pat, in 1972.
Since then, the Sioux Falls-based business has become one of the largest construction and property management companies in the region.
Sioux Falls mayor Paul TenHaken said Lloyd’s contributions went beyond the buildings he developed, adding “we lost a giant.”
Craig Lloyd's contributions to Sioux Falls are evident in many visible ways, but it's the unseen impact that truly defined him. He touched so many lives that it’s difficult to put into words what he meant to this city. We lost a giant. Prayers for his family as we celebrate him. pic.twitter.com/Rp5xN6nIAs
