Attorney General Marty Jackley and 51 of his colleagues put several voice service providers on notice.
The attorneys general notified nine providers that they may be violating state and federal laws by continuing to route illegal robocalls across their networks.
The group is part of the Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force.
In a series of letters, the task force demanded they stop transmitting robocalls and included detailed information about each provider’s illegal or suspicious traffic.
"These companies allow scams of all kinds to be passed on to the public. This activity has to stop," Jackley said.
The companies receiving the letters include:
- All Access Telecom
- Global Net Holdings
- Lingo Telecom
- NGL Communications
- Range
- RSCom Ltd.
- Telecast Network
- Telecentris
- ThinQ Technologies
