In May, state tourism officials said indications were that South Dakota would have a good summer season. There was a strong demand for vacation guides and e-newsletters and traffic on department-run websites was on the increase. South Dakota Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen talks about how the summer tourism season has gone so far.
