- Red scrapbook paper or card stock paper
- Pieces of green and brown paper
- Paper clips
- Marker
- Scissors
Directions
- Cut an apple out of a piece of red scrapbook paper. Tape a brown paper stem and green leaf to it to get the full effect.
- Write uppercase letters all around the edge of the apple, incorporating several As and other letters randomly mixed in. Write “Aa Apple” in the center of it as a visual reminder and clue.
- Grab as many paper clips as there are A’s on the apple.
- As your child to find the letter A all around the apple and clip the paper clips over each letter A. Clipping on the paper clip is a great way to sneak in fine motor skills while learning letters.
