City Island: Visiting an Art Museum

Inside a museum. The walls are filled with cartoon drawings, sculptures, and random objects handing from the ceiling. There are benches for people to sit on and look at the art.

Watt and his classmates paint a mural to beautify the city! To help him find inspiration, his art teacher, Ms. Easel, takes Watt to the City Island Art Museum where he learns about an important community institution and various styles of art.

City Island is a series with stories that emphasize conflict resolution, cooperation, and city planning. Watt’s adventures teach us all about what it means to be a citizen of the amazing City Island. In addition to civics, the series touches on other related aspects of the Social Studies framework, such as geography and economics. Overall, the show highlights the benefits of a friendly community, and the fact that great ideas are our most precious resource! It's intended for children in grades PreK-2.
