2025 One Book South Dakota Discussion Group - "The Cost of Free Land: Jews, Lakota, and an American Inheritance" by Rebecca Clarren
The Belle Fourche Public Library is hosting a “One Book South Dakota” Discussion Group on Saturday, March 29 at noon. This annual event encourages people across the state to read and discuss the same book throughout the year. This year’s book selection is "The Cost of Free Land: Jews, Lakota, and an American Inheritance" by Rebecca Clarren. The discussion will be led by Jeanie Kirkpatrick, South Dakota Humanities Scholar. A question & answer time is included.
The program is free and funded by a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. One Book South Dakota helps to carry out the SDHC mission to “celebrate literature, promote civil conversation, and tell the stories that define our state.”
Belle Fourche Public Library is located at 905 5th Ave (Hwy 85) in Belle Fourche. The library may be reached at 605-892-4407 for any questions.
