MusicSpeaks at the Sturgis Public Library will be on Thursday, September 19th at 5:30pm. This season of MusicSpeaks starts off with a celebration of the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for piano and orchestra. A groundbreaking work, it is perhaps the first great blending of American music and the European Classical tradition. Explore Gershwin's world and hear a performance by the New York Philharmonic with jazz virtuoso Makoto Ozone as soloist.
