Studebaker and Packard Cars and Trucks manufactured in four decades and from owners in eight states will be displaying their vehicles in an outdoor show in Custer on Sunday, September 1. Both modified and restored models will be available for the public to enjoy. It is free, and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite vehicle. This year is the 150th anniversary of George Custer coming to the Black Hills. Many of the Army of the West's supplies and troops were hauled in covered wagons made by the Studebaker Company. So, Studebakers have been coming to the City of Custer for a long while !
