Black Hills Community Theatre continues its 57th Season with the moving story of The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Breevort. Loosely inspired by a true story, a mother from New Jersey roams the hills of Lockerbie, Scotland, looking for answers after the crash of Pan Am 103. She meets the women of Lockerbie, who are fighting the U.S. government to obtain the clothing of the victims found in the plane’s wreckage. The women, determined to convert an act of hatred into an act of love, want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim’s families.

Like all BHCT productions, the cast and crew for Women of Lockerbie is made up of talented volunteers from within our community. The show is Assistant Directed by Kathy Swan, whose previous experience includes over 8 years leading the Wall High School Theatre Department. The cast of local performers includes Tina Samuelsen Bauer and Rodney Swendener as the American couple who come to Lockerbie looking for answers, Vince Vidal as an American official and Wynter Miller, Katherine Dasher, LaRee Mayes and Hidie Dahl as the various Women of Lockerbie. This production is recommended for ages 15 and up and contains adult situations.
