Rapid City Police are searching for three people in connection with three shootings, two of them fatal.

Police say one man and two juveniles are considered people of interest in the cases.

Police are naming all three people as they continue the search. They include 17-year-old Robert Yellowbird of Sioux Falls, and 20-year-old Chase Quick Bear and 15 -year-old Rochelle Janis both from Rapid City.

Police already had a warrant issued for Yellowbird from Minnehaha County.

RCPD spokesperson Brendyn Medina provided a timeline of the two shootings, beginning on August seventeenth.

Once we got there we found a juvenile male with an obvious gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital for the treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries," Medina said. "Saturday morning, August 20th, right around 7:30 in the morning we got called to the 100 block of Surfwood Drive. Once we got there we located two adult males inside an apartment, obviously deceased from gunshot wounds.”

Medina describes the situation as “all hands on deck” and said RCPD is working with the Pennington County Sheriff’s department. Medina said there are people with key information to the case.

“We’re asking the public's help for any information on his whereabouts," Medina said. "The public should be advised he is believed armed and should not be approached. If you know where he is, get in touch with police. An anonymous tip can also be sent by texting the letters RCPD and the information to 847411."

Police executed a search warrant Sunday. The juvenile was not present, but other arrests were made on outstanding warrants.

Medina says RCPD is investigating potential gang ties related to the shootings.
