The three remaining members of the Mitchell Legion baseball team charged in connection to a sexual misconduct investigation have taken plea deals.
Landon Waddell, Hudson Haley and Karter Sibson pleaded guilty to being an accessory to a felony in Pennington County Court Monday, according to court documents.
In exchange, prosecutors dropped more serious second-degree rape charges. Each still faces up to five years in prison.
Three other teammates charged in the case took similar plea deals earlier this year.
This all stems from an incident at a Rapid City hotel during a June 2023 baseball tournament. The defense framed the matter as "hazing," but prosecutors described it as a sexual assault.
Their sentencing hearings are scheduled for Aug. 13.
When the charges were first announced, prosecutors said three other team members were charged in juvenile court, which is closed to the public. Their charges are not being disclosed.
A former coach charged in the case was acquitted while charges against a team board member were dismissed.
