A former prison employee is pleading guilty to one count of having prohibited sexual contact with an inmate.
Cassandra Jelsma, 36, is accused of having inappropriate contact with a prisoner at Mike Durfee State Prison.
Attorney General Marty Jackley said the incident happened between November of 2022 and June of 2023. Jelsma was an employee of the prison at the time.
She faces up to two years in prison. Her sentencing date is Feb. 2.
