A Sioux Falls man is behind bars in connection to a homicide in which the victim’s body was found inside a vehicle near a mall.
Twenty-four-year-old Tyson Christians is charged with first-degree murder.
According to Lt. Aaron Nyberg of the Sioux Falls Police Department, Christians stabbed and killed a 23-year-old woman Monday. The victim’s body was later found in a car outside the Empire Mall, though police believe the homicide happened elsewhere.
Investigators said Christians previously had been in a relationship with the victim.
This is Sioux Falls’ first homicide of 2025.
