Checking In With South Dakota Superintendents

NPR

In The Moment … September 17, 2020 Show 904 Hour 1

Some schools around the state are facing staffing shortages as employees test positive for COVID-19 or quarantine after an exposure. This week, the Burke School District put in-person classes on hold due to staffing shortages. Burke Superintendent Erik Person joins us now to talk about how the district is responding to the pandemic.

As case counts at USD decline, the Vermillion School District is one of several partnering with the Department of Health to conduct sentinel testing for its staff. Here to tell us more about the district's pandemic response is Superintendent Damon Alvey
