This fall, students in Gettysburg, South Dakota, will return to the classroom. Their cell phones will not.

The school district is going device-free this fall.

Amber Mikkelsen is the superintendent of the Gettysburg School District. She shares why the district decided to ban these devices and how they'll get students to put their phones away during the school day.
